Faith Norah Lukosi Foundation Receives 50 Cartons of Softcare Sanitary Pads Donation From Sunda Housemart

On 15^th November, 2023, the Faith Norah Lukosi Foundation received a second donation of 50 cartons of Softcare Sanitary Pads from Sunda Housemart. The donation comes in handy to support our Rising Stars: Mentorship and Wellness Program. Through the initiative, the Foundation aims to address the challenges faced by vulnerable girls in accessing menstrual hygiene products and promoting awareness about menstrual health and hygiene.

Additionally, the Foundation sensitizes teenagers on their sexual and reproductive health rights, while tying it to career mentorship.

Recognizing the financial barriers that hinder many girls and women from accessing sanitary pads, we initiated a Sanitary Pads drive. Through partnerships with Sunda Housemart, Hindu Council of Kenya and individual generous donors, we have been able to donate over 10,000 sanitary pads to girls and women in need. This has helped to ensure that they have access to hygienic and safe menstrual products.

From the first donation we received, we have been able to partner with community led organizations, schools and churches to reach out to more than 2,000 girls and offer them training and mentorship on SRHRs and career development, while donating pads to the less privileged.
