Faith Norah Lukosi Foundation Leads Planting of 2,000 Seedlings at Bidii Primary School and Its Environs
On 13th November, 2023, Faith Norah Lukosi Foundation led Makadara Constituency Residents in a tree-planting initiative at Bidii Primary School and the entire Makadara Constituency. The Foundation planted 2,000 fruit and indigenous seedlings under its “Adopt a Pitch” tree planting campaign, and in support of the Government’s efforts to plant 10 billion trees by 2032.
This initiative symbolizes the foundation’s commitment to a greener and more sustainable Kenya for the current and future generation.
“We have a duty to combat deforestation, desertification, and the negative impacts of climate change by promoting a more sustainable and resilient environment in Kenya through afforestation and reforestation.” Said Faith Lukosi
Also Present were;
MP Makadara Constituency Hon George Aladwa, area MCA Hon. Antony Kimemia “Sonny”, Makadara Sub-County Environment Officers, Buruburu Location Chief and Assistant Chief, Buruburu Residents Association led by the Chairman Mr. Kinara, Makadara Community Health Promoters, Nairobi City County Green Army, Bidii Primary School BOM and teachers led by the Chair and Head Teacher Mrs. Kanya, Bidii Girl Guides Club and 4K Club members and their parents, Bidii Primary Cabinet Secretary for Environment Miss Valeria Nelima, parents and members of the Public.
We were also joined by our esteemed partners Hindu Council of Kenya led by Director Nilesh Bhavsar, Relationship Haven, Drugless Generation Network, Angaza Community Network, Doing Good and others.
